Dates & Submission
You can contribute to CONSTRUIT 2017 by giving a presentation, submitting a full paper (for a post-conference deadline – see below), building a thing-to-think-with (a ‘construal’ or other artefact) of your own, or some combination of these.
We anticipate contributions of the following kinds:
(a) Presentation (20 minutes + 10 mins discussion) at CONSTRUIT 2017.
(b) Full paper submission after the conference (guidelines available in due course).
For either (a) or (b) you are welcome to construct and demonstrate an associated artefact or construal. For either kind of submission you need to submit an abstract of no more than 500 words via EasyChair in any standard format at https://easychair.org/conferences/?conf=construit2017. Please submit the abstract as soon as convenient and, in any case, before the deadline of 13th June 2017. We aim to give you feedback within two weeks of receipt.
Please follow these steps in submitting your abstract:
(i) in the (mandatory) field ‘Abstract’ on EasyChair just put ‘As attached’. In the ‘Upload Paper’ field upload your abstract in any standard format.
(ii) Give a title for the abstract and your name and institution (if applicable)
(iii) State whether the abstract is for a ‘Presentation’ or ‘Paper’ or ‘ Presentation and Paper’ .
You can postpone the decision whether to submit for a paper until after the conference if you prefer.
If you are planning to submit a full paper, the deadline for submission of preliminary versions is Tuesday 26th September with final versions due by Tuesday 31st October 2017. Participation in the conference will help authors and makers in preparing, or refining, their submission. Selected submissions will be published in a suitable on-line, open access, journal issue.
Booking for the main event at Warwick in July will open from the Registration link on Tuesday 9th May 2017. Provisional costs will be posted as soon possible (see Registration on frontpage of the website). The conference will begin at lunchtime on Thursday 13th July and end at lunchtime on Sunday 16th July 2017.
